Important WiFi and School Email/Microsoft 365 Information

| Need help accessing the WiFi on campus? Here are instructions to get connected:
|
|
|
- Select the "Eduroam" WiFi network from your device's list of available networks.
|
- Input your username and password.
- Username: Your student ID and "@cypresscollege.edu." (e.g. 01234567@cypresscollege.edu)
- Password: Your myGateway password
|
- Apple devices: When prompted, click "Trust" for the certificate.

Android devices, set the following:

EAP: PEAP
- CA Certificate: Don't validate
|
- You should now be connected to the WiFi on campus!
|

Did you know you have a Cypress College student email address that also provides access to Microsoft 365 products like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint? No? Well, now you do! But how to access it, you ask? Just follow these simple instructions:
|

Log in to myGateway.
- In the upper righthand navigation, click on "My Mail." This should automatically log you in.

Access your email inbox by clicking on "Outlook" in the lefthand navigation, or click the nine dots in the upper lefthand corner to open a panel showing all the applications you now have access to.
- Now you're in the know and can use these tools to help you succeed!

Your Cypress College student email address is based on your student ID # (e.g. 01234567@cypresscollege.edu).
Please note: Emails you receive from the college are sent to the email address designated "Preferred" in your student account. To update your preferred email, log in to myGateway, click on the "Student" tab in the lefthand navigation, then click on "Update E-mail Addresses" under Personal Information.

Charger Book Pass and Campus Bookstore Hours

| Did you know the Charger Book Pass provides you with eBooks, as well as access codes to learning platforms with digital course content like Pearson MyLab, Mastering, and Revel?
|

Monday–Tuesday @ 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Wednesday–Thursday @ 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Friday @ 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Charger Food Pass and Charger Cafe Hours
|
|
|
|
The Charger Food Pass provides all students with access to breakfast or lunch at the Charger Cafe (on the 1st floor of the Student Center opposite Admissions and Records) Monday-Friday.
|
|
|
To start the semester, the program will operate in a similar manner to prior semesters with students receiving a single, pre-packaged grab-and-go meal EITHER for breakfast OR lunch (one meal per day). All students must present a current student ID to use this service.
|
Please note: This program will evolve as the semester continues and our technology expands. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
|
The Charger Cafe also offers food for purchase. Cafe hours are:
|
Monday–Thursday: Breakfast @ 7:45–10:30 a.m. | Lunch @ 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Friday @ 7:45 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Talk to a Counselor for Essential Educational Planning
|
Student educational plans are an important part of your journey here at Cypress because they map out the courses you will need to take based on your major and educational goals.
|
|
|
|
Don't have an educational plan yet? Make an appointment now to see your academic counselor. Counseling appointments for ed plans are available weeks 3-13 of each semester; the first two and last three weeks of each semester are reserved for walk-in counseling to assist with course registration and clearance, not schedule planning.
|
|
|
This semester, counseling appointments may be scheduled September 5 – November 17. Visit Express Counseling on the 2nd floor of the Student Center or call (714) 484-7015 to schedule your appointment.

Tennis, Anyone? Join the Women's Tennis Team
|
|
|
Want to be a collegiate student-athlete? Enjoy tennis or thinking about learning the sport? Here's your chance! Join the Cypress College Women's Tennis team this fall. Experience is preferred, but not required. Training days are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1-3 p.m. throughout the semester.
