Dear Parent,
It is hard to believe that we have only seven weeks of school left. These last few weeks are a critical time for students. As the days get longer and spring sport activities start up, homework often takes a back seat. Homework not turned in has a negative impact on grades. I encourage you to continue to expect the best from your child through the end of the year.
As we look ahead to Holy Week, I invite all of our families to set aside time to participate in the special services planned. It might be difficult to attend everything offered, but maybe one of the services would be at a time your family could attend. Holy Week offers families a wonderful opportunity to pray together and can have an impact on children that may not be seen for years.
I remember attending the services of Holy Week with my family when I was growing up. Getting five children to the services must have been a challenge for my parents. I certainly don’t really remember the obstacles. What I do remember is we were all there together. Over the years I have come to cherish the memories of time spent together in prayer with my family. I am grateful to my parents for deciding that our time together in prayer was an important time for us as a family. Please consider giving this important legacy to your children.
My prayer for all of you is to continue to have a holy Lent and blessed Easter.
