Apply to become a SEPA STEM Mentor!The Center for Science Education (CSE) presenst a summer research and mentorship opportunity for 4 Tufts sophomores and juniors to participate as mentors in a National Institute of Health funded program called Mini-Med Connect. SEPA STEM Mentors will be placed in a research lab of their choice for a summer internship while they provide near-peer mentorship to Boston high school students enrolled in the Mini-Med Connect program. Compensation of $4,460, which can be used for housing, food, and transportation, is provided.

MLK Celebration, January 30th
Join the Africana Center, Tisch College of Civic Life, and the University Chaplaincy for the annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Celebration.
This year’s theme, "We Don't Have Much Time:" Raising Consciousness and Building the Future Now, is inspired by a series of lectures that King offered in 1968.
They will welcome scholar Dr. Régine Michelle Jean-Charles as the keynote speaker. The event will be in person at Breed Memorial Hall and will include dinner. Please email Nora Bond with any questions or accessibility needs.

Free Tutoring at the CSDDo you need help with your classes, homework or concepts? Do you need someone to review your class lecture? Come to Tutoring at the CSD every Monday between 4-6pm. We have two tutors (Davis and Tong) from Cambridge Coaching who will be available to cover topics in Physics, Math, Biology, Chemistry and Intro Engineering.
Come prepared with questions, your textbooks and homework/quiz/tests. Tutoring will be on a first come first served basis, and it can be done individual or as a group.

Gates Summer Internship ProgramInspired by years of positive experiences with summer interns in Gates Center laboratories, Drs. Tamara Terzian, Neil Box and Enrique Torchia thoughtfully conceived an official internship program to inspire outstanding young college undergraduates to pursue careers in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. Interns will earn $6,500 and work full time at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

Opportunities
- Find a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) that fits what you're looking for! You can browse all opportunities here.
- Interested in doing research starting this spring semester? Check out this opportunity offered by the School of Engineering; pay is $20 an hour! Applications are due by 5pm Friday, January 27th; you can find more information and application instructions here.
- Apply to the REU Program at the University of Rochester for Summer 2023! Accepted students receive free on-campus housing, a meal stipend, a $6,000 stipend, and $600 to cover transportation costs. Applications are due January 27th; you can find more information here.
- Apply to be an IRLI Summer Scholar where undergraduate students can collaborate with Tufts faculty or staff on research into learning and instruction. The program provides a stipend of $5,200 to each undergraduate participant for 10 weeks of full-time research (35 hours per week). In addition, there is a needs-based housing subsidy of $1,500 if you choose to live on-campus during the summer.

- Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston is hiring Reserach Assistants for the spring and summer 2023! The position may be of particular interest to students who are interested in pursuing careers in research, medicine, public health, medical economics, and related fields. No prior research experience is required. They hire on a rolling basis, therefore applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Applications open the first week of January, and require a resume, cover letter and unofficial transcript. There is also an opportunity to explain any extenuating circumstances you have faced during your education in an optional essay.

- Apply to be an intern with Amazon this upcoming summer doing STEM outreach and DEIJ work! Applicants MUST be current juniors; the internship may lead to a full time job offer after graduation. Learn more here.
