Change in Zoom Notification
Policy in Canvas |
ETLC is working to minimize the notifications sent from Zoom when used in Canvas. Now, for the Fall, students will NO LONGER be notified if a meeting is created, canceled, recorded, etc. Meetings will still show up in the calendar and To Do list. In the case of a “quick” switch to online and the addition of a Zoom meeting, instructors will need to post an Announcement or send an email to students letting them know a Zoom meeting has been created.

“It’s hard to blame students for not caring if they don’t have a reason to believe the instructor cares.”

Tired of Getting Course
Feedback Only from SIEs? |
Academic Coaching is a great foundation for all students. Peer coaches work with your students to help them develop a plan for the semester, discuss study strategies, and build time management skills. Coaches can also help students prepare for a presentation.
For best results, encourage your students to make an appointment early in the semester.
