As the semester came to an end, the Myaamia Heritage students gathered for a night of snacks, crafts, storytelling, Myaamiaataweenki, and most importantly, a mahkisina meehkintiinki 'mocassin game' tournament.
Seven groups of students participated in a single elimination tournament, with the cecaahkwa team (Katelyn, Grace, Rebekah, and Delaney) emerging as the winner! We enjoyed seeing everyone using their language skills during the game and spending time as a community on campus before heading home for the winter break.
