The Work of the College: Brand Mechanics Hands-On Workshop Happens Monday!

Don’t forget to join the Office of Communications & Marketing on Monday, Dec. 8, from 2:30-4 p.m. in Bemis Great Hall for our hands-on Brand Mechanics Workshop. This interactive session will introduce CC’s new Brand Website and Guidelines, and give you practical tools to bring the refreshed brand to life in your daily work.

During the workshop, you’ll take a quick tour of the new Brand Website and explore refreshed assets and templates. Then, you’ll work in small groups on guided exercises—designing a branded Canva flyer or poster, building an on-brand email in Emma, and creating a social media post using CC’s updated identity. You’ll also get a sneak peek at updated business suite materials, including PowerPoint templates, letterhead, the Outlook signature block, and business cards.

Please bring your laptop, and if you haven’t yet, be sure to register.

More sessions in the Work of the College: Brand Miniseries are on the way—next up, we’ll explore CC’s messaging expression and share what’s coming as we continue caring for the brand as the living ecosystem it is.

The Work of the College Series is a year-long program of events with four goals: (1) clarify organizational structures and decision-making processes; (2) offer campus constituencies the opportunity to dialogue with leadership about campus affairs; (3) increase decision-making transparency in hopes of building trust; and (4) build community.

The Work of the College Series consists of:

  • Community Conversations (dialogue about specific topics)
  • Roadshows (presentations and Q&As)
  • Board of Trustees Town Halls (informational updates)
