Springwater Center's annual Collaborative Retreat Online is a unique opportunity to participate together in what Toni Packer called "the work of this moment".
This retreat is designed to create possibilities for members and friends of the Springwater Center community to explore, look, and listen–alone and together. There will be opportunities for talks, dialogues and quiet sitting. Teachers present in this retreat will not give talks, but will take part in all other aspects of the retreat. A sign-up sheet will be offered for any participant who wishes to give a talk.
In this retreat we are invited to collaborate, to create together an atmosphere of stillness and quiet. And we are also offered the chance to explore what it is to give a talk, to share what is coming up for us without interruption and in the company of friends. Of course, no one is required to give a talk, and a talk does not have to be long–just a simple sharing of one’s own words or words of others that one has found helpful. This collaborative format gives us a fresh opportunity to be with each other in retreat, a new way to explore the work of sitting and inquiry.
