The Museum at FIT often loans objects from its permanent collections to other institutions to use in exhibitions. This fall, we've loaned three objects, one each by Emilio Pucci, Romeo Gigli, and Versace, to Renaissance to Runway: The Enduring Italian Houses, opening November 9th at The Cleveland Museum of Art. Through the majestic creations of more than 100 modern and contemporary Italian fashions and accessories in dialogue with Italian fine, decorative, and textile arts from the 1400s to the early 1600s, the exhibition examines the art historical inspirations that fuel recent creative Italian lexicon, expanding fantasies of the Renaissance, Mannerist, and early Baroque periods.
On view at The Cleveland Museum of Art November 9, 2025 – February 1, 2026.
