FROM THE PARENT PROGRAM DIRECTOR

What a remarkable year it has been! On May 3, we proudly celebrated more than 950 students as they received their degrees during spring commencement. Congratulations to the Class of 2025! We wish you all the best as you close this chapter at Lipscomb and begin the next exciting phase of your journey. We are incredibly proud of everything our students have accomplished this year.

An exciting summer is ahead, and we hope you’ll join us for some of the events that are planned. If one of the Summer Send-Offs is happening in a city near you, we’d love for you to come and help welcome new families to the Lipscomb community!

BISONS WEEKEND
Mark your calendars Nov. 13-15! Bisons Weekend is Lipscomb University’s version of homecoming and family weekend. The weekend will be packed with events and activities all weekend long, so you don’t want to miss this!

Purchase your tickets for July 18 Lipscomb Night at the Sounds

Join your fellow Bisons for Lipscomb Night with the Nashville Sounds and cheer on our hometown team as it hosts the Indianapolis Indians!

Visit with Lipscomb representatives who will greet you on the plaza as you enter First Horizon Park. Stop by the Alumni & Parent Engagement table and snag some giveaways! Watch Sam Phalen (’22), runner-up on season 47 of the television show "Survivor," throw out the first pitch, and meet him on the concourse. Enjoy a fun night of baseball in Music City as well as the fireworks that cap off the night's festivities!

Tickets for the Lipscomb community are $17.87 and $23.86; taxes and fees included.The Lipscomb Office of Alumni & Parent Engagement will add a $10 concessions voucher to each ticket you purchase. You don't want to miss this fun night in Nashville with your Bison family!

SUMMER SEND-OFFS

The Office of Parent Engagement is traveling this summer to several cities with higher populations of incoming students to host Summer Send-Offs. These events are fun, laid back events that give incoming Lipscomb students and families a chance to meet each other and current students and families in your area. If you are in a city close by, please consider attending and helping welcome our newest Bisons to the Herd!

During the summer months, the monthly prayer Zooms will continue on the first Tuesday of the month—June 3, July 1 and Aug. 5. Current Lipscomb parents Ron and Suellen Moen will lead the online prayer gatherings this summer. The Zooms are a great way to stay connected with Lipscomb families and to continue to pray over our students.

ACADEMICS

Summer Registration
Encourage your student to take a look at the online and in-person undergraduate course offerings available this summer. More than 100 options are available! Summer is a great time to catch up after a degree change, get ahead on your studies or just make quicker progress toward graduation. For more information click here.

Financial Aid for Summer
Financial Aid is available to assist in offsetting the cost of taking classes during the summer months. Students could qualify to use funds from Federal Loans, Academic scholarship, HOPE Scholarship, Summer PELL funds and Federal Work Study. Most aid requires students to be enrolled in at least six hours across the summer term. Summer term includes any combination (Full Term, Term 1, Term 2 Maymester, Junemester and Julymester, and possibly travel courses).

You can visit our Summer Aid page on the Lipscomb website for additional information. The Lipscomb Financial Aid Office provides assistance and resources to help parents and students understand their aid package. The staff is available Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
