Timely Warning from Campus Safety

Campus Safety has received and is investigating information about burglaries that have occurred in residence halls. Over the last seven days, two separate burglaries have occurred in South Hall.

Based on the information available at this time, these incidents are believed to present an ongoing risk of theft to members of the campus community.

No suspects have been identified in connection with these incidents.

These incidents present an opportunity to reinforce a few safety recommendations.

Campus community members are encouraged to:

Lock their residence hall rooms.
Do not prop open, disable, or otherwise alter door locks or latches.
Keep room keys with them at all times.
Secure valuable items in room safes.
Record valuable items, including serial numbers, receipts, and photos.
Report suspicious activity, behavior, or circumstances immediately.
Utilize Campus Safety services and resources when available.

These incidents remain under investigation. Currently there is nothing to suggest that parties external to Colorado College were involved. Additional information will be provided as appropriate.

Timely warnings are issued to provide information about a potentially dangerous situation at or near Colorado College and to provide our students and employees with the information necessary to make decisions or take appropriate actions to ensure their safety.
