Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) Metro NY/NJ Chapter Scholarship |
CMAA awards scholarships for both undergraduate and graduate students to assist in covering the costs of pursuing Engineering degrees of various disciplines, related to Construction Management. The amounts of the scholarships vary annually and can range from $3,000 – $10,000. Additional information is available here. The deadline is April 18, 2025.

ASCE North Jersey has published their scholarship applications. Additional information is available here. The application requires multiple steps and signatures, so plan ahead. The department has received a number of these awards each year, so consider applying. The deadline is April 18, 2025.

John F. Donohoe Civil Engineering Scholarship |
Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey (ACCNJ) is currently accepting applications for the John F. Donohoe Scholarship. Additional information is available here. The deadline is April 11, 2025.

College Health and Environmental Safety Society Scholarship |
College Health and Environmental Safety Society (C.H.E.S.S.) of NJ is a group of environmental, health, and safety professionals that work at New Jersey colleges. C.H.E.S.S. is offering a paid scholarship for those working towards entering the environmental, health and safety field. They are seeking an application from those who are pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher from a New Jersey accredited college/university that would best fit the individual’s interests and career path. Society of Women Environmental Professionals Scholarship |
The purpose of this scholarship program is to encourage women to pursue careers in an environmental field, to mentor undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in environmental and related subjects, and to provide students with opportunities to connect with NJSWEP members for future internships and careers in the environmental industry. Moles Foundation Scholarship |
Every year, The Moles awards scholarships to deserving students at participating colleges, including Stevens. It is anticipated at this time that the annual scholarship will be comparable to last year’s $12,500 amount.
Civil engineering sophomore or junior-year students who are United States citizens and will graduate in May 2026 or May 2027 are urged to apply.
Applicants must demonstrate a professional goal of achieving a career in the heavy construction industry by either having completed or by receiving a committed offer to an internship, co-op, part-time or full-time summer employment in the heavy construction industry with a heavy civil contractor or construction-oriented engineering firm.

Once received, the department will forward them to our Moles liaison with the department’s feedback. The Moles organization will make the final decision.

CEOE Battle of the Programs: Rescheduled Date
|
CEOE Professional Societies (ASCE, SEEPS, Chi Epsilon, SNAME, and COPRI) will team up with CEOE undergraduate students, faculty and alumni to compete in a number of events to determine the champion of the department. The event is hosted by the department's Advisory Council and the aforementioned professional societies.

Delve Underground Information Session
|
Join us for an information session hosted by Delve Underground. Delve Underground is a tunnel design and heavy civil engineering firm specializing in transportation, water, wastewater and energy markets. This seminar will showcase the types of unique projects that Delve Underground takes on with focus on project drivers, design and construction challenges and solutions. Part of the presentation will focus on the career paths in Delve Underground for young engineers.
Speakers: Bade Sozer has been with Delve Underground for 19 years. She is a Principal underground engineer with focus on geotechnical engineering. Bade has worked on several major water tunnel projects as the project manager and design lead. Bade is also the Water Market East Lead.
Kanon Ishibashi is a Staff Engineer with a masters in Structural Engineering. She is working on several Delve Underground NY projects as a tunnel design engineer.

MA 125/126 Drop In Tutoring
|
In addition to review sessions, the department will host MA 125 and MA 126 drop-in hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:00–4:00pm for the Spring 2025 semester.
Peer tutors are available at the below times to assist with:
-Homework questions
-Understanding key concepts
-Preparing for exams
-Study tips and strategies
No appointment is necessary. Just stop by the CEOE Center for Student Success (Davidson Lab 238) and a tutor will be available to assist you with MA 125 or MA 126.
