As the holiday season approaches, we reflect on this semester's remarkable achievements and milestones at the Lucas College and Graduate School of Business. From hosting the impactful Responsible Innovation in AI Conference featuring Mayor Matt Mahan and Silicon Valley's top thought leaders, to earning recognition among Fortune's Top 50 Best MBA Programs for 2025, US News' #2 Best Business School in the CSU and the Best Place to Study International Business, we have so much to celebrate! Our faculty brought home several prestigious accolades and our talented students shone at events like the Silicon Valley Innovation Challenge and Cal Hacks 11.0, among others.

In late September, the student chapter of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) at San José State University (SJSU) won the society’s Outstanding Merit Award for 2023-2024, a distinction they received just four years ago in 2019-2020.

Alexandra Phan, ’26 Management and co-president of SHRM at SJSU, expressed that she and the student organization are both “excited and honored to continue this legacy, and keep the momentum going following the pandemic.”
