Log into Your Enrollment Services (YES) Portal to check your progress on several of the critical tasks and input your emergency contact information. Note it takes up to four days for changes in YES to appear within the portal.

AlertVU
To ensure you receive AlertVU notifications, please review and/or update your contact information in Your Enrollment Services (YES) by August 21. AlertVU is Vanderbilt’s emergency mass notification system, designed to notify recipients upon confirmation of a significant emergency or dangerous situation involving an immediate threat on campus. Examples of such threats include a tornado forecast to impact Vanderbilt or an active assailant on campus. Regularly reviewing your contact information in Your Enrollment Services (YES) helps ensure you receive emergency notifications through your preferred contact methods.

VandySafe
The VandySafe app is the official safety app of Vanderbilt University. The app provides users with several safety services, including contacting VUPD via phone or text, viewing emergency guides, submitting iReports and sharing locations instantly with VUPD, and initiating a “virtual walk home” feature. The app works on and off campus and is helpful when waiting for the bus or getting to or from bus stops. Download the VandySafe App.

Emergency Phones
Emergency phones are conveniently located throughout the campus. They are easily recognizable by the blue light atop the pole which houses the emergency phone. Each phone has an emergency button that, when pressed, automatically dials the VUPD Communications Center. An officer will be sent to check on the phone user, even if nothing is communicated to the dispatcher.

VandyRide Shuttle Service
VandyRide provides daytime service from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and nighttime service from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. to designated campus locations on days when classes are in session during the fall and spring semesters. For the safety of passengers and drivers, pick-up and drop-off are available only at designated shuttle stops. Students who stop vehicles outside of designated shuttle locations may be reported for disciplinary action. Learn more about VandyRide and route information.

Mobility Rides
Electric golf carts are available to provide rides for those with medical or accessibility needs. If you would like to access the pre-approved mobility rides, contact the Student Access Office (SAO) through the online portal or at 615-343-9727.

Join us on August 12 at 6 p.m. CT for a virtual conversation to learn more about Dialogue Vanderbilt, Vanderbilt's campus-wide initiative that puts the university's enduring commitment to free expression, civil discourse, and institutional neutrality into practice. Hear from campus leaders and current students as they share how incoming students engage with these values through conversations, programs, and experiences that help build a respectful and welcoming campus community.
