TOMORROW: Vaccines and Immunizations in a Time of Global Boiling and Anti-Science

Don't miss the compelling presentation by Peter Hotez, MD, PhD, DSc (honoray), Dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine, Professor of Pediatrics and Molecular Virology & Microbiology at Baylor College of Medicine, and Co-Director of the Texas Children’s Center for Vaccine Development, tomorrow, Apr. 29 from 5-6 p.m. in Celeste Theatre. Enjoy light refreshments in Cornerstone Main Space from 4-5 p.m.

Dr. Hotez, one of the leading defenders of vaccines in America, will present on “Vaccines and Immunizations in a Time of Global Boiling and Anti-Science.” As both a vaccine scientist and a parent of a child with autism, Dr. Hotez has led national efforts to defend vaccines and serves as an ardent champion of vaccines going up against a growing national “anti-vax” threat. Dr. Hotez will also discuss the critical importance of scientific literacy and the defense of scientific thought in the current climate.

This seminar is generously supported through the Harold D. and Rhoda N. Roberts Memorial Lecture in the Natural Sciences endowment, which supports and enhances science teaching at Colorado College.
