Small Things, Big Tiger Pride |

Sometimes, it’s the little things that help build a great place to work. This year, a donor-supported employee appreciation fund is supporting simple, low-cost ways to spread joy, show our Tiger pride, and build community across campus.
Looking for a low-key way to connect with colleagues? Here are a few opportunities to put on your calendar:
|
-
Weekly Tiger Tuesdays: Show your Tiger pride by wearing Tiger gear or your favorite tiger print! Keep an eye out for Tiger Tuesday pop-ups and activities around campus. Say hello, grab a photo, and enjoy a little fun along the way.
-
Community Coffees: At 3 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every block, stop by Perkins Lounge (in Worner) for drinks, snacks, and casual conversation. It’s an easy way to take a break, meet someone new, and connect with the campus community.
-
Employee Birthday Celebrations: We’ll celebrate employee birthdays five times throughout the academic year with cupcakes and good company! Our next celebration will recognize employees with Oct.-Nov. birthdays and will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 3 p.m. in Worner.
|
These gatherings are intentionally simple and casual because sometimes a coffee, a cupcake, or a few minutes of conversation can make a big difference.
And remember, you don’t have to navigate the workplace alone. HR is here to help answer questions, connect you with resources, and provide support when you need it. Whether you need a sounding board, have a question, or simply aren’t sure where to start, please visit the HR Staff webpage to contact a member of our team.
Let’s keep finding meaningful ways to support one another, strengthen our community, and show our Tiger pride.

Every Interaction Matters |
Every interaction with a current or prospective student is an opportunity to make a positive impression. Whether you’re answering a question, greeting someone on campus, helping a student navigate a process, or simply sharing a smile, those interactions can have an impact.
For a current student, a thoughtful interaction can help them feel welcomed, supported, and connected to Colorado College. For a prospective student and their family, it may shape their first and lasting impression of our community.
As we go about our daily work, let’s remember to be thoughtful, patient, and courteous to everyone we encounter on campus. We all play a role in creating a supportive environment and showing students what makes CC a special place to learn and belong.
Small moments can make a big difference. Thank you for helping make every interaction count.

Your Mental Health Matters |
This is a reminder that support is available when you need it. We’ve created a new Employee Mental Health flyer with information about available resources and ways to get support.
Take a look, save it for later, and share it with a colleague who might find it helpful. Taking care of ourselves and one another is an important part of building a healthy, supportive campus community.
