Experience Vanderbilt: Experience Vanderbilt (EV) is a student-led, university-supported initiative that provides undergraduate students who qualify for need-based financial aid with funding for extracurricular activities that have fees. Vanderbilt Visions: Vanderbilt Visions is a required six-week program designed to aid in your transition to college. All first-year students are automatically assigned to a Visions group of 18-20 new students. Visions groups are guided by a faculty mentor and an upper-division student (called VUceptors). Through weekly meetings, you and your group will focus on navigating the transition to college, building community, and connecting to campus resources.

CommonVU Orientation: CommonVU Orientation is the required weeklong orientation to The Ingram Commons and Vanderbilt that runs from Move-In Day, Saturday, August 17, and ends on August 24. During CommonVU Orientation, you will begin to experience the university by building new communities and engaging in activities with other first-year students. You will also interact with upper-division students, faculty, and staff. Together, you will begin to discover the personal, academic, intellectual, and social opportunities of life at Vanderbilt. Shipping Packages for Move-In: Mail Services processes all incoming mail and packages for students during Move-In Weekend. Please make every effort to combine items for shipping to campus to limit excessive amounts of packages.
Mail Services will be placing some packages directly into student rooms prior to Move-In Day on August 17. To be considered for placement in your room, packages must arrive August 2-8. Packages received August 9-15 will be available for pickup at your assigned Mail Service tent on The Ingram Commons on Saturday, August 17, from 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Packages received after August 15 will be available for pick up at our Main Post Office (Station B) in Rand Hall or the temporary pickup location at the Student Life Center garage on Friday, August 16, Saturday, August 17, or Sunday, August 18. Please see your package notification for the pickup location.
Hand trucks are available on a first-come basis at the tents until 4:00 p.m. Identification must be left to ensure the return of all carts.
Please check each package carefully inside your room. If you receive a package that does not belong to you, please bring it to one of the mail/package tents as soon as possible. More details about shipping packages can be found online.
