Co-Working Space for Graduate Students and Postdocs: GPAS will host a co-working space every Thursday from January 8 - April 23, from 1 - 3 p.m. in Alumni Hall Lounge (100). Coffee, tea, and snacks will be provided!
2026 Virtual Career Expo (VCE)
As a trainee at Vanderbilt, you are invited to attend the the Graduate Career Consortium Virtual Career Expo (VCE). This free virtual job fair brings together employers from the fields of STEM, Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences seeking advanced degree talent (Masters, PhDs, Postdocs, and Alumni).

Resource of the Month
The Writing Studio 
The Writing Studio offers weekly writing groups for graduate students and postdocs during the Spring semester on Tuesdays from 2 - 5 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. To join, complete the registration form. 
Spring Writer's Retreat
The Writing Studio is hosting a two-day Dissertation Writers' Retreat on March 9-10. The retreat provides dissertating students with a community of support and opportunites for goal setting and skill building, alongside loosely structured time to work individually on writing projects. The application is due no later than Wednesday, February 18. Learn more.

After Dark with the Hot Girl Doc
This program bridging Black History Month and Women's History Month will feature Dr. Clarissa Francis (a.k.a. the Hot Girl Doc), who will be in conversation with students about themes such as sexual liberation, purity culture, and radical joy.
The event will take place on Friday, February 27, at 5 p.m. in the Multicultural Community Space. RSVP form is open.
Creative Writing Vanderbilt Reading Series
Join the Creative Writing Program for the Gertrude C. & Harold S. Vanderbilt Reading Series. 
Holocaust Lecture Series: Medicine and Morality - "The Weight of Witness"
Join Dialogue Vanderbilt and the Center for Spiritual and Religious Life for Medicine and Morality for the 2025-2025 Holocaust Memorial Lecture Series.
Featuring keynote speakers Dr. Alex Kor and Dr. Stacy Gallin, the lecture explores how medical authority and systems of power were manipulated to justify persecution and mass murder, and why the distincion between what is legal and what is ethical remains urgently relevant today. This event is in partnership with the Tennessee Holocaust Commission, Vanderbilt Chabad, and Vanderbilt Hillel. 
Join us on Friday, February 20, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the Divinity School Reading room. Registration is open.

Schmidt Science Fellows
The Schmidt Science Fellows program provides the world's best emerging scientists with new skills and perspectives to develop novel solutions to society's challenges, become scientific and societal thought leaders, and accelerate ground-breaking discoveries.
Schmidt Science Fellows undertake a 12-24 month postdoctoral placement. This placement commences after a Fellow successfully completes his or her PhD in the natural sciences, computing, engineering, or mathematics. Fellows' placements will represent a significant disciplinary pivot from their PhD topic and are central to the program's aim to foster greater interdisciplinarity.

2026 Catalyzing Advocacy in Science and Engineering (CASE) Workshop
Vanderbilt University will be selecting and sponsoring up to four graduate students to attend the 2026 Catalyzing Advocacy in Science and Engineering (CASE) workshop in Washington, D.C., from April 12-15, 2026. 

You can find more information about the workshop here. The deadline to apply is Friday, February 20 at 5:00 p.m. 

Intelligence Community Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program 
Offers opportunities for postdocs in the U.S. to pursue research of interest within the intelligence community, including IARPA, with funding for two years. The topics include a wide range of technical domains including many in the life sciences. 
Applications are due March 31. You can find more information and eligibility requirements here. 
Kappa Kappa Gamma House Director Open Position
The Epsilon Nu Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority at Vanderbilt University is seeking a live-in house director beginning approximately Aug. 1, 2026.
Compensation plus free furnished suite with utilities and an on-campus parking space. Typical working hours range from 15-20 per week. Qualifications: Female, graduate student (early to mid- twenties) preferred, and past sorority membership a plus. Volunteer to judge at the Middle Tennessee Science and Engineering Fair.
Judge responsibilities will take place on Friday, March 27, in Belmont's Ayers Conference Center. This is an afternoon and evening commitment, and dinner will be provided.

Insight offers an in-person workshop highlighting what it is like to work in management consulting. The program takes place in Chicago on April 30 to May 2. Applications are accepted through March 25, 2026.
