The Texas A&M University System was presented with the 2024 Jack Donnelly Excellence in Counterintelligence Award last week during the 10th annual Academic Security & Counter-Exploitation (ASCE) Conference in College Station.
Awarded by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and the Office of Counterintelligence, the Jack Donnelly Award recognizes institutions that demonstrate exceptional commitment to protecting sensitive and classified research from foreign intelligence threats. The Texas A&M University System’s Research Security Office—led by Chief Research Security Officer Dr. Kevin Gamache—has now achieved this distinction a record four times (2017, 2019, 2023, and 2024), more than any other academic institution.
