The Official Monthly Newsletter for the City of Brentwood, Tennessee

January 2025

Announcements

Parks and Library Closed Friday. Brentwood City Parks and the John P. Holt Brentwood Library are closed today, Friday, Jan. 10, because of winter weather. For the best information on future closings, follow the City of Brentwood's official social media accounts.

New Flood Insurance Rate Maps. Last month, the City Commission adopted new Flood Insurance Rate Maps to ensure federal flood insurance remains available to Brentwood residents living in flood zones. The updated flood maps, which focus on the Harpeth River Basin and its tributaries, were proposed by FEMA in 2020. On Sept. 10, 2024, the City received a letter from FEMA advising Brentwood to move forward with the official adoption of the new maps and with an effective date of Dec. 20, 2024. Under these updated maps, most affected properties will see a reduction of the flood areas. To view the new maps, visit this link.
