Enjoy a fun pregame event at Universal Joint before heading to McKenzie Arena to cheer on the Bisons as they play the UTC Mocs! Choose from a pre-selected dinner menu for the adults and kids in your family.

$20: Adult dinner + game ticket
$15: Child (10 years and younger) dinner + game ticket
$10: Adult dinner only

Join us at 10:55 a.m. CT on Tuesday, Dec. 3 for the monthly prayer Zoom for our Lipscomb families. You are invited to join us as we get to know other parents, share prayer requests and praises. This month's guest speaker will be Dr. Darwin Mason Jr, senior minister Hillsboro Church of Christ.

COMMENCEMENT

December Commencement is just around the corner! Please click here to visit the Commencement page on the Lipscomb website for the most up to date information including date, time, live stream links, parking and accessibility. We are not ticketing for the December ceremony, and we welcome as many family and friends to cerebrate our graduates as possible. The doors will open 90 minutes prior to the ceremony, so please allow time to secure a seat before the event.

Undergraduate Baccalaureate is scheduled for Dec. 13. Reception in Burton Flex Space at 4 p.m., and the service begins at 5 p.m. in Collins Alumni Auditorium. Undergraduate grads and any guests they would like to bring are welcome. Students will be receiving an invitation to the diploma address they submitted on their "Intent to Graduate" form. Students will need to RSVP using the link sent to their Lipscomb account.

Final Exams: Friday, Dec. 6; Monday - Thursday, Dec. 9-12

Commencement Ceremony: Saturday, Dec.14.

Rehearsal for all Graduates: 12:30 p.m., in the Student Activity Center (SAC). Note: Check-in for rehearsal begins at 11:30 a.m. All graduates must be in their seats when rehearsal begins promptly at 12:30 p.m. Plan to arrive no later than noon to check in and find your seat.
Commencement: 2 p.m. in Allen Arena

Grant to host 20th Annual Lighting
of the Green at Lipscomb

Let’s get in the Christmas spirit! The Lipscomb University community is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its traditional start to the holiday season with beloved Nashville entertainer Amy Grant at the annual Lighting of the Green.

This year’s edition is set for Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena Mall. Festivities begin at 4 p.m. with the free concert to follow at 6 p.m. Joining Grant this year will be special surprise musical guests along with Lipscomb’s ensemble Sanctuary and Gospel Choir and choirs from Lipscomb Academy and Lipscomb University. The event will take place outside in the Allen Arena Mall and seating will be first come, first served.

For those unable to attend the event, join us virtually by live streaming the event.

Lipscomb is looking for vintage shirts

The Office of Public Relations and Communication at Lipscomb is working on a project for a future edition of the Lipscomb Now alumni magazine to feature vintage T-shirts from Lipscomb events.

If you are a Lipscomb alumnus and still have any T-shirts or sweatshirts from your college days, please contact Janel Smith, senior publications manager, at janel.smith@lipscomb.edu. She would be interested in hearing about them. David Lipscomb College and David Lipscomb University apparel would be of interest, but she is especially looking for T-shirts created for social club activities and campus-wide events. If you have shirts that would be of interest to fellow alumni, please email Janel with the details.

FINANCIAL AID

FAFSA 25-26 is coming! The Department of Education has announced the FAFSA for the 25-26 school year will open on Dec. 1st, 2024. Remember that the new FAFSA flow works best when the student begins their FAFSA at StudentAid.gov and it will prompt them to invite the parent(s) as contributors. A great FAQ is available at StudentAid.gov FAFSA Help Center.

Lipscomb's Financial Aid Office is available to help any student with their FAFSA process. Please encourage students to stop by the Crisman Administration Building to see the staff!
