When will I be notified if I’m approved?
The timing of your notification is dependent on each jurisdiction, but each candidate will be notified as to whether they have been approved or not should your jurisdiction adopt the initiative.
If my board adopted the credit relief initiative en masse, what do I need to do?
If you have a new NTS, please contact cri@nasba.org. You will need to cancel any appointment you made so we can cancel the NTS. If you do not have a new NTS, there is nothing you need to do.
When will my records be updated to reflect the extension?
This will vary by jurisdiction.
If my board does not adopt the credit relief initiative, can I transfer my credits to another jurisdiction that has adopted it?
Boards do not transfer or accept expired credits.
I already transferred to another jurisdiction which did not adopt the credit relief initiative. Can I transfer my credits back to the previous jurisdiction?
Boards do not transfer or accept expired credits. You are subject to the rules and requirements of the board you are currently a candidate of.
Does this apply to all jurisdictions?
Not all boards will adopt the credit relief initiative. The board of accountancy is the only entity with the authority to grant, extend, or revoke credit.

You will be notified via email either by your board or NASBA. We will also post on social media channels.
