Dear Joshua,
It's hard to believe that Labor Day has already come and gone! Where did the summer go?
That's ok, because we know the shift to cooler weather means fall is upon us and the natural beauty of foliage season is near. There is still plenty of golf to be played and we have some big things coming our way including the sold-out Men's Invitational, SCC One-Day Ladies Member Guest this weekend and the SCC Club Championships in two weeks. Looking a little farther down the calendar be sure to save the date for these fun October events we are putting the final touches on.

As more and more of us are getting out to play and enjoy the new front nine, we have noticed an unusually high amount of un-repaired ball marks. One of the simplest ways we can all help keep the course in great condition is by repairing our ball marks on the greens. A properly fixed ball mark not only keeps the putting surface smooth for everyone but also allows the grass to heal quickly, usually within a day. An unrepaired mark, however, can take weeks to recover and may cause lasting damage to the green. As a courtesy to your fellow members, please take a moment to repair your own mark and even one more if you see it—together we’ll keep our greens rolling true.
