 🔗Smart Cookies Registration Links & First Steps |
The Troop Leader and Cookie Manager will receive their registration emails to access Smart Cookies, the online cookie management system for volunteers, the week of December 15. Additional users may be added by contacting River Valleys. All volunteers must have a current membership to be added to Smart Cookies.Â
Note: Digital Cookie access for Troop Leaders and Cookie Managers begins on January 5.Â
You’re signed up! Now let’s get your troop ready for cookie season. The Online Cookie Systems Guide on Cookie Central features step-by-step instructions and a video to help you get started.
Knock out these quick tasks:

- Complete your volunteer profile.
- Add your troop’s banking info and the number of Girl Scouts selling.
|
Girl Scouts will not be entered in Smart Cookies until February 10. To confirm the Girl Scouts in your troop, check myGS and confirm that everyone has a 2026 membership. Complete the Troop Roster Update Request to make updates to your troop.Â

 📋Family Cookie Business Meeting |
Kick off cookie season with a quick, fun family meeting! It’s your troop’s chance to get everyone on the same page to set up a smooth, successful Cookie Program. River Valleys suggests hosting it in early January, use the Troop Family Cookie Meeting tools on Cookie Central to make planning a breeze. Send invites now so families can save the date.Â

📆Save the Date: Council Virtual Cookie Rally |
The virtual Council Cookie Rally will take place on Tuesday, February 3rd and will be held live on both Girl Scouts River Valleys Facebook and YouTube accounts. Hold a rally watch party during your troop meeting to add to the fun! More details to come in January. Â

 🔧Troop Training Toolkit |
A key Community Product Leader role is hosting a Troop Cookie Manager training. Let troops know their options—whether you’re meeting in person, hosting online trainings, or instructing them to complete River Valley's trainings.
Check out our Troop Training Toolkit packed with ready-to-go tips and presentations you can use or customize. And don’t forget: remind troops to complete the Online Troop Cookie Responsibility Form by February 1.
