Spring Address and Convocation
mark vibrant launch to new semester |
President Luke Wood delivered his annual Spring Address, pointing to faculty achievements, enrollment gains and athletic success as signs of the University's forward momentum, while acknowledging upcoming budget constraints.
"We will continue to provide pathways for upward social mobility, and we will do so unapologetically, as that is a core part of our mission," Wood said, even as the University prepares to "do less with less" in the coming year.
The address preceded Convocation, where Wood welcomed new students to campus, encouraging them to embrace both classroom learning and outside experiences as they begin their academic journey.
