Bay Window: Connoisseur KBAY/San Jose will move to the 98.5 frequency currently occupied by Classic Rock sister KUFX beginning July 22 at noon local time. The move follows the recent sale of the station's current 94.5 frequency to Christian broadcaster K-Love (Breaking News 7/8). KBAY will continue to simulcast on 92.1 (KKDV/Walnut Creek, CA). Connoisseur acquired KUFX and three other Bay Area stations from Bonneville in May. The 94.5 frequency sale to K-Love is expected to close in early fall.

Back In Black: Retired WKSJ/Mobile, AL PD/afternoon host Bill Black has been appointed to the Alabama Music Hall of Fame Board of Directors for a term beginning in August. Additionally, Black has been hired as Dir./Festival Development for the Frank Brown Songwriters Festival, for which he had been a board member for two years. Black retired in early 2024 (CAT 12/7/23) after more than 30 years with WKSJ and more than 45 in radio.
