SHUTDOWN DAY 14
The federal government is now on day 14 of the shutdown, and no end is in sight. The Senate returns for another round of voting today, though at the time of this writing, there is no indication a bill to reopen the government will pass. Current reports from POLITICO say that Senate Republicans are no longer allowing Democrats additional votes on their own alternative continuing resolution, and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is still keeping members of the House out of session. As a reminder, the Office of Government Relations is providing the latest update on our shutdown blog below to keep members of the Duke community up-to-date on the latest goings-on in Washington.
