Plus, four-year graduation rates soar to all-time high
Innovative outreach and support efforts
drive Sac State enrollment surge |
Sacramento State's Fall 2024 semester saw a significant boost in enrollment, with over 700 new students joining the Hornet Family. The total headcount reached 30,912, marking a 2.4% increase from the previous fall semester.
Campus leaders attribute the increase to University-wide outreach efforts, including contacting students at risk of missing registration deadlines and introducing new programs like the Black Honors College and Combat U. These initiatives have made Sac State an increasingly attractive option for a diverse range of students.
"While some institutions emerged from the pandemic lesser than they were before, we emerged a stronger Sac State," said President Luke Wood. "Sac State is on the rise."
