   MEAL PLANS

Don’t forget to secure your meal plan before the fall semester starts for maximum value! With five dining halls across campus and 20+ retail locations, you are sure to find something to satisfy your cravings. First-year students who live on campus are required to have an unlimited meal plan, while other students may purchase any meal plan that’s right for them.

Just over half of the meal plans span the entire school year and your account can be accessed through the meal plan portal.

   EAGLE ALERT TEST

UNT tests its emergency notification system, UNT Eagle Alert, each month. The next system test will be Friday, July 31. The system notifies the UNT community about ongoing emergency situations and university closings by sending text and voice messages by phone and displaying a full-screen alert on campus computers and presentation screens.

Check your contact information and make updates if needed on the profile tab of my.unt.edu to ensure you receive the test messages and future alerts.

   OUR HOUSE

We are just six weeks away from the first 2026 Mean Green home game at DATCU Stadium, and it’s time to learn this year’s home game themes, which include the green and white stripe out game, Family Weekend and a blackout game the Thursday before Halloween. Plan your game fits and make sure to watch for emails that tell you how to claim your free student tickets!

   LIFE ON FILM

UNT alumna Ryan Cameron (’20) knew at a young age she wanted to work in the entertainment industry. She took audio and video classes in high school and came to UNT as a media arts student. After graduating, she started freelancing as a production assistant and, through the connections she made, she dove into her debut piece called Forks in the Road.
