Seal of Excelencia recertification highlights support for students
As Sacramento State celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month, the University once again has earned a Seal of Excelencia certification for its commitment to programs and policies that uplift Latino students.
Sac State is one of just 39 colleges and universities to earn the seal from Excelencia in Education, a national group focused on college completion for Latinos. The seal reflects an institution’s demonstrated impact on students through data, leadership practices, and programs.
The University has been a federally designated Hispanic Serving Institution since 2013 and offers multiple programs that support Hispanic students, including the College Assistance Migrant Program, the Serna Center, and the Dreamer Resource Center.
