A new milestone in KAUST Library open access publishing journey
The University Library is pleased to announce that in 2023 we have signed four new open-access publishing deals. This allows KAUST authors to publish at no cost or at a discounted rate in the eligible journals of participating publishers.
Please find below an overview of the new deals. The complete list of open-access publishing deals for 2023 will be announced soon.
- Institute of Physics Press (IOPP): offers unlimited reading and publishing deals which is the first IOPP agreement of this kind in the Gulf region. The deal offers an unlimited number of open-access articles to be published in IOPP hybrid journals.
- Elsevier: offers a 10% discount on article processing charges (APC) in fully gold journals in 2023.
- IEEE: offers a 15% discount on article processing charges (APC) in hybrid and fully gold open-access journals in 2023.
- Taylor & Francis: offers 10% on article processing charges (APC) in hybrid and fully gold open-access journals in 2023.
