Sun & Snow
Welcome to March at Okemo! We're looking forward to longer days, stronger sun rays, and, hopefully, more powder! Season-to-date, we've had more than 116 inches of snow and we have a healthy base sitting at 34 inches in depth. It's a great chance to get free runs in between lessons and take advantage of your days off to ski or ride. Please continue to take care of yourselves outside of work, we still have a busy month ahead of us and we're excited to finish strong this season.
March 1 marked the first week of combined mid-week Ski & Ride operations. Here's what that means:
- Monday to Friday
- All group lessons will operate out of the Clock Tower base area
- Privates scheduled within our 48-hour booking window are available at both Jackson Gore and Clock Tower base areas
- Guests have the option to take free transportation between the base areas. Guests staying at Jackson Gore can take the shuttle starting at 8:30 am and running until 4:15 on scheduled intervals. Please refer to this schedule to assist guests that are traveling between locations to join us in a lesson.
- Please pay close attention to your work schedule to ensure you start your day out of the correct base area for your assigned lessons.
- Weekends
- Operations will remain the same as they have all season with both group and private lessons offered at both locations.
Throughout the season, we've maintained a positive guest experience while also creating a safe environment for our students to learn and improve their skills. Our enterprise uses a Resort GX program to track and measure our Net Promoter Score (NPS) and other key metrics of the guest experience. Through guest surveys of their experience with us, we can measure our performance across the resort and ski school. As a resort, we are ranking at #8 in the enterprise with our current winter GX NPS score at 35.9 compared to 39.9 when we ended our season last year - nice work!
As we progress into March, we're continuing to see strong bookings in Private Lessons at both base areas. While Children's Group Lessons continue to be slower than we anticipated, we've seen strong reservations in our Adult Group Products. Colder temperatures this week should preserve some great March skiing conditions and we expect to see reservations pick up for this weekend. If you are looking to teach additional days, please reach out to your Supervisor or Manager.
As you start to plan your end of season with us, we will be sending out uniform return and care instructions soon. In the meantime, please continue to care for your uniform with waterproofing efforts. If you need more NikWax products, please reach out to your supervisor for a packet to take home and wash in your residential machine.
