Kaufman is proud to cosponsor a presentation by Dr. Church on the Christian and Indigenous religions through the lenses of comparative religion, missiology, and cultural anthropology. Dr. Church will also look at the spirituality of the Great Lakes region and compare this to his work as a Missiologist on Turtle Island to show how he has used his undergraduate studies at GVSU toward his future vocation. Join us as we host Syda Segovia Taylor, founder and executive director of Organic Oneness and proud member of the Bahá'í faith, as this year's Rabbi Phillip Sigal Interfaith Leadership Lecturer. Her talk will draw from 30 years of faith-based community-building justice work and explore practical steps we can take to choose unity over division and create lasting change through collective wisdom. "Living an Active Life in Your 90s" |
In a special Interfaith Insight, Doug Kindschi reflects on important people in his life who lived into their 90s. The death of his former teacher and friend Martin Marty last week, who passed at age 97, inspired Doug to write this Insight. He includes others who were active in their 90s including Jimmy Carter, Dick Kaufman, and his own father and grandfather. Read it here.
