Hang Tight Honey: Ahead of tonight's (5/8) 60th Academy of Country Music Awards, Lainey Wilson was awarded Artist-Songwriter of the Year and Jessie Jo Dillon was named Songwriter of the Year for the second consecutive year. Wilson was surprised with her news by Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert backstage during last night's rehearsals. Watch here. It is Wilson's 13th ACM win, and first in the category. Dillon was surprised with her award by Kelsea Ballerini onstage during ACM Country Kickoff. The awards show airs live on Prime Video and Twitch from The Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, TX beginning at 7pm (CT). The Official ACM Awards Red Carpet Show, hosted by Amber Anderson and Kelly Sutton, begins at 6pm (CT) on the Amazon Music channel on Twitch.

Reve-News: Beasley reported Q1 2025 net revenue of $48.9 million, down 10.1% from $54.4m the same period last year, and off 8.5% on a same-station basis, largely due to a decline in agency revenue. This is the lowest revenue quarter for the company since Q1 2021. Operating loss was $2m, compared to a loss of $1.1m in Q1 2024. Digital revenue was off slightly from $11m to $10.8m. "We believe Beasley is well-positioned to navigate short-term market challenges while building a more durable and diversified revenue base," says CEO Caroline Beasley. Full release here.
Townsquare reported Q1 net revenue of $98.7 million, off 1% from $99.6m in the same period last year. It is the lowest revenue quarter since Q1 2021. The company saw a net loss of $1.5m, compared to income of $1.6m a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA increased 3.5% to $18.1m compared to $17.5m last year. Digital represented 57% of revenue in the quarter. "Sometimes it takes a challenging macroeconomic environment to serve the purpose of highlighting how truly differentiated Townsquare is from others in local media," says CEO Bill Wilson. Saga Communications reported Q1 net revenue of $24.2 million, down 4.3% from $25.3m in the same period last year. Station operating expense was $22m, a 2.2% decrease year-over-year. The company had an operating loss of $2.3m compared to a loss of $2.4m in the same period last year. Full release here.

Feels So Right: Alabama and Brenda Lee will be honored at Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI)'s eighth annual Nashville Songwriter Awards Sept. 23 at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. Alabama will receive the Kris Kristofferson Lifetime Achievement Award and Lee the NSAI President's Keystone Award, which recognizes "significant contributions to the industry for the betterment of all songwriters." LeAnn Rimes has been cast as a series regular in the new ABC drama 911: Nashville. She joins a cast that includes Chris O’Donnell, Jessica Capshaw and Kimberly Williams-Paisley for the Music City-set show, produced in association with Ryan Murphy Television. Rimes most recently has worked as a coach on The Voice in both the UK and Australia.
As part of his previously announced endorsement deal with work boot and apparel company Wolverine (CAT 3/14), Jordan Davis kicked off the Wolverine x Jordan Davis Trades Tour, which will provide eight American businesses with gear, $7,500 and a VIP experience at a Davis show in their area.
