Health Services crowned Homecoming Chili Champions

 

The annual Homecoming Chili Cook-Off brought the heat to the midweek Homecoming activities as chili lovers packed the Palo Duro Lounge Wednesday.

The competition between chili makers was spicy. Two chefs took home trophies: Public Safety Officer Seth Bush earned second place for his nearly century-old “Fiery First-Degree Felony” recipe, while Health Services’ Yvonne Medrano claimed first with her layered “Great and Powerful Chili,” a 2019 champion revived with slightly less heat that once again won over the judges and wowed attendees alike after dialing back the heat of previous versions.

Divine 9 together at Homecoming Hump Night

Members and alumni of the Divine 9 National Pan-Hellenic community gathered for Homecoming Hump Night, a night of unity, celebration, and tradition. It was a night filled with energy, camaraderie, and some incredible strolls, steps, and chants. 

 

Homecoming Hump Night is a prelude to the NPHC Step Show on Friday at Texas Hall. The show begins at 6 p.m., and you still have time to buy tickets.
