The end of an era for many of our students happened at three commencement ceremonies Friday, May 9, at Globe Life Field. UTA anticipated conferring more than 5,800 degrees. This semester’s graduates range in age from 19 to 81, highlighting the University's commitment to serving learners of all ages and at every stage of their academic journey—even beyond graduation. Congratulations to our spring graduates.

Ana Gonzalez came to UTA in 2022 as one of two recipients of the Univision Tu Futuro Scholarship—an award that covers tuition and fees for a bachelor’s degree at UTA. "If I can make it, they can make it" is the message U.S. Navy veteran John Shirley wants to share with college students, particularly adult learners considering returning to school. At 60, Shirley has overcome hardship and challenges to earn his BBA in real estate.

Graduation cap decorating
|
As part of the commencement celebration, spring 2025 graduates were able to decorate their mortar boards and submit photos for the Grad Cap Contest. At the ceremonies students proudly wore their decorated caps, many thanking mom and dad, expressing happiness at finishing their degree, and previewing their plans for the next chapter.
