Join us as we recognize, honor, and celebrate all the amazing researchers, inventors, and innovators at UMSL who positively impact our community and society. We'll announce the 2023 senior, junior and collaborative researchers of the year awards and the faculty innovator of the year award. |
Amount: up to $25,000 DEADLINE: Wednesday, March 15, 2023
Guidelines | Application Form
UMSL Mid-Career Seed Grants provide funding to support research and creative endeavors that have high potential for scientific or societal impact. This funding aims to help mid-career faculty generate preliminary data in preparation for external applications and to stimulate multidisciplinary research toward solving big problems. Funding may also be used for training and related support to help mid-career faculty pivot to new areas of research and to support certain costs associated with approved sabbatical leave. Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) The purpose of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) is to help ensure the quality, vitality, and diversity of the US scientific and engineering workforce. The program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students pursuing full-time research-based master's and doctoral degrees in STEM or STEM education by providing three years of support over a five-year fellowship period for individuals who have demonstrated potential for significant research achievements.

MAR 14: INTERNATIONAL DAY OF MATHEMATICS / PI DAY
|
The International Day of Mathematics is also known as Pi Day, because the mathematical constant π can be rounded down to 3.14. Led by the International Mathematical Union with the support of numerous international and regional organizations from all over the world, the day was proclamated by UNESCO on the 40th session of the General Conference, Nov. 26, 2019.

MAR 15: NATIONAL SBDC DAY
|
The third Wednesday in March is National Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) Day, which recognizes the thousands of SBDCs across the country supporting entrepreneurs in the pursuit of small business ownership.Created in 1976, SBDCs provide innovative resources and tools that contribute to the success of start-ups and small businesses. From financial and business planning to technology, security, and marketing, SBDCs contribute to the overall success of small businesses. Your local SBDC is associated with the University of Missouri Extension Office. Find out more.
