September is Preparedness Month |
Disasters—whether hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, or disease outbreaks—can strike at any time. In recent years, our community has faced Hurricane Florence, multiple confirmed tornadoes, and most recently, Tropical Storm Chantal, which caused devastating flooding, destruction, and tragic loss.
So far this year alone, Orange County has experienced four tornado warnings, 22 severe thunderstorm warnings, and 14 flash flood or flood warnings. These events are reminders of the importance of preparation.
