Wellspring Week @ Project Transformation: June 22-25!
This summer, Wellspring is once again partnering with First UMC Georgetown to support Project Transformation—a ministry that connects children, college-age young adults, and churches through meaningful relationships and a shared commitment to literacy.
We’re excited to sponsor June 22–25 as “Wellspring Week,” providing reading buddies and meals (breakfast and lunch) for campers. Whether you can serve during this focused week or at another time this summer, please consider getting involved! Ready to help? Sign up today!
Serve as a Reading Buddy @ FUMC Georgetown
Volunteers read one-on-one with children in 1st–6th grade who are participating in Project Transformation’s summer day camps. It’s a simple and meaningful way to build relationships and support a child’s confidence in reading. Please note: a background check and abuse prevention training are required.

Serving with Love
Wellspring celebrates the faithful service of our United Methodist Men, who recently partnered with Meals on Wheels to build and install a wheelchair ramp for a local resident. This tangible act of care helps ensure safe and accessible entry to their home—an everyday blessing that makes a real difference.
Special thanks to Andy Houser and the entire UMM team for their time, skill, and compassion that reflects the heart of Christ in our community.

“The View from Under the Table”
Matthew 15:21-28, A Women’s Lectionary for the Whole Church by Wilda Gafney
Our desire to keep Jesus “perfect” can keep us from seeing the wisdom in this passage: One, being perfectly authentic can include making mistakes; two, that “Christ” can come from anywhere, and often comes to us through the experience of the marginalized. So come, embrace this view from under the table with the Canaanite woman. Contact Neal Baumwart (nbaumwart@hotmail.com) or Ronna Keagle (rrkeagle@gmail.com)
Chapel Dwellers, Rm 112, 1st Floor
