Maintaining ongoing accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education is one of the vitally important ways IUP serves students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the community.
Accreditation is a required step for IUP students to receive federal grants and student loans. It facilitates student credit transfer and can be required for some graduate schools and employees considering IUP graduates.

TBTN is an annual event to raise awareness and support survivors of sexual violence. This is a global event in which many universities participate. A traditional TBTN event includes a march, rally, protest, and speak-out.
This year’s Take Back the Night is comprised of three main events on Wednesday, April 9: the opening ceremony (Oak Grove) at 6:00 p.m., the march (departing from the Oak Grove and ending at the HUB) at 7:00 p.m., and a speak-out at 7:30 p.m. (HUB, Ohio Room). We welcome all who will walk, stand, and rally with us until sexual violence is no more.
