| CMU Alumnus and Co-founder Announces Launch of Physical API Startup, Sancho
Carnegie Mellon alumnus, Co-founder and CEO Chao Cao recently announced that his first demo debuted on Jensen Huang's GTC Keynote and the launch of his company, Sancho. Sancho builds the intelligence layer for flexible manufacturing, the physical API that enables general-purpose robots to move material, interact with machines and carry work seemlessly from one production step to the next.
Sancho is also partnering with Multiply Labs to help with production requirements.

CMU Spinoff Edulis Therapeutics Wins Top Prize at AGA Tech Summit
Edulis Therapeutics, founded by Spencer Matonis, CEO, was recently awarded the grand prize at the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) Tech Summit. A participant in the 2025 VentureBridge cohort, Edulis is revolutionizing GI medicine with an endoscopic drug delivery system that enhances lives and provides sustained, maintenance-free medication for 1M+ patients.

Founder-friendly Updates Designed to Better Support Commercialization
Carnegie Mellon University's Center for Technology Transfer and Enterprise Creation (CTTEC) has updated its startup license terms to better support commercialization and startup formation. These updates are the result of ongoing conversations with faculty, researchers, founders, and staff, and reflect CTTEC’s long-standing effort to make the startup licensing process more responsive to the needs of emerging companies. The revised terms are designed to provide a clearer, more founder-friendly framework for licensing Carnegie Mellon technologies.

The ARM Institute is looking for a motivated Business Development Intern to accelerate the adoption of robotics in U.S. manufacturing. You’ll work directly with the leadership team to identify growth opportunities, support technical scouting and outreach, and help bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and industrial application. This internship offers not only the opportunity to grow your skills, but also the chance to grow your network within the US robotics ecosystem. The internship will conclude with the preparation of a personal portfolio demonstrating your contributions and their concrete impact on the ARM Institute and US Manufacturing. This intern will work directly under the Director of Business Development with daily interactions and weekly one-on-one meetings to discuss progress, strategy and career development.
