What is 50 North?

50 North helps adults over the age of 50 connect with others in the same life stage who are wanting to find new purpose during the second half of life.

Whether you are planning for retirement, becoming an empty nester, or well into your senior years, this ministry is for you! A variety of activities and gatherings are planned each month with more opportunities to come. Learn more at st.lukes.org/50north.

Kick off the football season and enjoy a free movie with friends on Friday, August 25 starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Youth Center. Bring your dinner and a friend, the popcorn is on us!

GriefShare Weekly Support Meetings: These weekly meetings are designed to help you rebuild your life after losing a loved one. Groups are led by caring laypeople who have experienced intense grief. Join us Tuesdays starting August 22 at 10:00 a.m. in the Barnes Learning Center (Room 210), or Thursdays starting August 24 at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. Registration is required. Grow It Forward Farm Workdays: Help communities with no affordable access to fresh produce grow their own vegetables by volunteering in one of our micro-farms. Find dates and sign up at st.lukes.org/growitforward.

Caring Kitchen: This ministry meets on the first Thursday of most months at 7:00 p.m. in the Building C Kitchen to prepare meals for St. Lukers in need.

Free Knitting/Crocheting Class: Learn how to create handmade prayer shawls and hats for local hospitals and congregation members on Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Barnes Learning Center (second floor of Founder’s Hall) Room 210. All ages and experience levels are welcome. Learn more at st.lukes.org/heartstohands.

Blessed Treasures Gift Shop: Support Missions locally and globally by visiting Blessed Treasures, operated by St. Luke’s United Women in Faith. Baptism Hosts: Show St. Luke’s hospitality by volunteering to greet and help baptism families on the third Sunday of each month in Founder’s Hall or the Sanctuary. Baptisms occur at the 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. worship services. If interested, please email the Care Office or call 407.876.4991 ext. 262.
