Undergraduate Sustainability Education Innovation Grants Awarded |
The Center for Teaching and Learning and the Sustainability Education and Curriculum Committee are pleased to announce the recipients of the fourth round of Undergraduate Sustainability Education Innovation grants; these awards are funded by Sustainability Next. Recipients from this round represent six colleges and 15 schools, with total support nearing $150,000. The grants aim to transform instruction using the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), which offer a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet. This institute explores design and pedagogical approaches to adapt your course to an online platform. You'll get a jump start creating your Canvas course and learn best practices for teaching online. While the institute is geared towards those teaching fully online courses, those teaching partially online, hybrid, or flipped classrooms will also benefit.

Get a head start designing or redesigning your fall courses! You'll receive expert guidance from CTL consultants and input from colleagues as you work through the backward course design process; you'll develop or redesign goals, assessments, and learning activities for your courses.

With the Canvas Course Template as your guide, you’ll begin building a course site that utilizes Canvas to its maximum potential, easing your teaching burdens and better supporting student learning.

We're accepting Teaching with Technology Partnership proposals that explore creative technology uses or technological solutions to existing course struggles. Selected partners receive a year of hands-on guidance from CTL as they develop, implement, and assess new projects.

Critical Teaching Behaviors Podcast |
CTL's Lauren Barbeau hopped on the Teaching in Higher Ed podcast this spring. Together with her co-author, Claudia Cornejo Happel from Embry-Riddle, Barbeau discussed how faculty can cultivate critical teaching behaviors.
