A large group of young people, mostly women, marches on campus while holding signs and speaking. Prominent signs include a banner in front that reads, “TAKE BACK THE NIGHT!” and a smaller, one-person sign, “SOMEBODY, not SOME BODY.” The marcher at the center of the photo is speaking through a megaphone.

‘Shatter the Silence’—Tonight

Take Back the Night is a worldwide movement to stand against sexual violence and to support survivors. Join the movement tonight at IUP. Starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Oak Grove, chalk the sidewalks, make signs, hear from guest speakers, and more. At 7:00, join in a march to the HUB, where a reception and speak-out will begin at 7:30 in the Ohio Room. This year’s event theme is “Shatter the Silence.” Find a schedule and more information.

Several of Weaver’s Perfect Memory tools are displayed on a wooden table. The tools are small wooden boxes with the IUP seal engraved on the front and a wooden cylinder visible at the top.

Weaving a Perfect Memory

Alan Luckey ’87, M’89 and his wife, longtime IUP administrator Rhonda Luckey, wanted to do something to honor their decades-long connection to IUP. Find out how they transformed a hand-crafted tool that Alan invented for Rhonda, an avid weaver, into a gift to complement the university’s celebration of its 150th anniversary.
