Join us for a virtual CAP Data Camo from Acorn Learning!

WHEN: October 15 & October 16. Sessions run from 11:30 am – 2:00 PM CT/12:30 - 3:00 PM MT

ABOUT: CAP Data Camp is a 2-day, 5-hour professional development opportunity provided to you at no cost by CAP Utah partnering with Acorn Learning. Acorn Learning provides professional development for CAP, Head Start, and Early Head start leaders and staff through high-quality learning events and trainings nationwide

CAP Data Camp provides:

  • Definitions of data that help immediately improve the data culture in your program, that you can use right away with your staff and stakeholders.
  • Clarity with data-related expectations within ROMA, and tips and skills to strengthen reporting.
  • A framework to understand Data Capacity, and how to improve your agency’s ability to collect, store, analyze, and effectively use data.
  • An introduction to reasonable and actionable Continuous Quality Improvement, grounded in examples from CAP agencies successfully implementing it

National Community Action Foundation (NCAF) is a membership organization established in Washington, DC that advocates the federal government on behalf of the Community Action Network. NCAF is an essential organization for our Community Action Network, advocating on our behalf at the federal level in Washington, DC. By becoming members of NCAF, we can collectively strengthen our voice and influence, ensuring that the vital work we do receives the support and recognition it deserves. There is no cost to becoming a member of NCAF.

Recent floods from Hurricane Helene have caused massive destruction in the North Carolina Community Action Network’s western service areas. Several agencies have displaced staff who need support from their Community Action friends and colleagues. The North Carolina Community Action Association (NCCAA) is seeking support for frontline workers experiencing hardships.

Shout out to Colorado Community Action Association for successfully becoming a grant receipt  in the fourth cohort of the DDRP (Diaper Distribution Demonstration and Research Pilot). 

With three active cohorts of the DDDRP grant program, OCS is serving communities across 21 states, two tribes, and one tribal consortium.
