Say cheese!
With the hubbub of the holidays now behind us, we finally had time for our annual company lunch, generously hosted by Josh and his wife, Cady. Staff of both the glass studio and Salmon Falls Gallery feasted on Josh’s favorite treat for guests and friends: rich, melty, grilled cheese sandwiches made on thick slices of fresh local bread. YUM!

And now, speaking of showing love and appreciation, we're approaching that loving season again: Valentine's Day! To say this is one of Josh's least favorite holidays might be an exaggeration, but not by much. Despite this antipathy, though, he continues to create really lovely Heart Planets that give all of us a beautiful way to tell someone we love that they mean the world to us. Here is USCGS icebreaker Healy in 2001, carrying an Infinity Planet to destinations unknown. But you don't have to visit the Arctic to hide an Infinity Planet!

The first Infinity Project participant of 2024 is Soledad N., who will hide a Planet in the Mediterranean Sea, near an enchanted beach known as La Playa del Neptuno. Located in the small coastal town of Alcocebre (Castellón), this is where her family has spent their summers for over four generations. Soledad writes: "The Infinity Project calls to me on many different levels and in a very intimate way: I feel drawn to it as a collector, as an archaeologist, as an admirer of glass working, and as a bit of a mischief." We totally get it!
