Transformative Teaching and Learning at Tech |
This year's Transformative Teaching and Learning Innovation Incubator grants are focused on community-based learning, a high-impact practice that integrates classroom instruction with meaningful community engagement. Two of the projects were recently highlighted: Leandro Miletto Tonetto's course on designing for dignity and Christie Stewart and Lesley Baradel's course on strategies for well-being and resilience. Learn more about the work they're doing to fulfill Tech's mission to develop leaders who improve the human condition.

| Exams with More Learning and Less Stress with a Computer-Based Testing Facility

Exams are an important tool for summative assessment, but often create stress for students and administrative burden for faculty. In this College of Computing talk, Craig Zilles from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will discuss the benefits of frequent testing and "second-chance testing," patterns of cheating on unproctored online assessments, and how his team has reduced instructor workload through their Computer-Based Testing Facility.
