Wishing a happy 60th wedding anniversary to St. Lukers Martha and Jerry Williams!
In April they traveled aboard the Disney Fantasy to celebrate this special occasion.
St. Luker Roger Emerton passed away on January 28 surrounded by his family. A service was held at his home on April 15.
Roger has been a partner with St. Luke's since 2000.
Please keep Hepi, Roger Jr., and all who loved him in your prayers.
St. Luker Fred Campbell passed away on March 23 surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with melanoma.
Fred was an accomplished RIAA Platinum award-winning guitarist performing with many acts like Dru Hill, Keith Sweat, Goodie Mob, Big Gipp, and Sleepy Brown.
Since 2016, Fred was also our electric guitar player in Contemporary worship and devoted his life to spreading music and kindness daily.
A service for Fred is being planned for a later date.
Please keep Fred’s loved ones including his life partner, Cindy in your prayers.
Getting Equipped!
With the Youth Summer Mission experiences quickly approaching, St. Luke’s Missions has been helping our students Get Equipped with knowledge!
Over the past few weeks, our St. Luke’s youth have participated in the Racial Wealth Gap training and the Cost of Poverty Experience simulation.
Both will help our students be better prepared for their Mission Experiences this summer surrounding Advocacy, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Awareness is the first step in inspiring change so, thank you to everyone who took the time to join us and engage in meaningful conversation.
The March featured Staff Shout Out goes to our Church Accountant, Andrea Whisnant-Burgis!
Whoo hoo, Andrea
We know how much work has gone into getting the Sage program up and running for staff.
We appreciate how much time and effort you have put into making it an easy process for all of us while still doing the everyday financial stuff.
Thank you Andrea for all your hard work.
