School food authorities (SFAs) are responsible for ensuring that the information in the Application module in TX-UNPS is accurate and current.

SFAs should review and update and contact information, program participation details, and other data as changes occur.

It is crucial that the information is correct for the Administrative Review (AR) and Procurement Review (PR).

School food authorities (SFAs) contracting with food service management companies (FSMCs) will have their Administrative Review (AR) and Procurement Review (PR) beginning on July 1, 2026. The SFA can expect to receive the Initial Off-site email on that date, and it will include a comprehensive guide to all scheduled conference calls and due dates for documents to be uploaded into TX-UNPS.

The new USDA child nutrition programs Food Industry Toolkit provides a consolidated page of Team Nutrition resources dedicated to our food industry partners. These resources support food products available to organizations operating school meal programs, the Child and Adult Care Food Program, and the Summer Food Service Program. Resources are grouped by topic, including child nutrition (CN) labels, Product Formulation Statements, crediting, and more. Ideal for orienting new food industry staff and refreshing existing partners, this toolkit aims to provide all relevant resources in one place and reduce the time needed to access information that supports USDA’s child nutrition programs.

The "Industry Resources" and "Public Resources" buttons have been moved on the SquareMeals homepage.When putting your cursor on the Resources tab located on the website header, a drop down menu will appear and both buttons will be accessible.
