From Thursday, October 24 to Thursday, October 31, join the Center for Social Concern to mail your absentee ballot during their March to the Mailroom events. Visit Hopkins Groups to see the schedule for each day, and make sure your ballot is in the mail on time!

On Tuesday, October 29, enjoy an evening of jazz, literature, and democracy at In the Stacks: Hop the Vote. Peabody student jazz ensembles will explore themes of voting, civic engagement, and social responsibility, and collective action. Alongside the musical performances, attendees will have the opportunity to explore archival and special collections material that highlight both jazz and history.

Celebrate the arrival of autumn and all things Halloween! Hoptoberfest returns to Homewood from October 23-26 and will include a kick-off carnival, a farm day (with a pumpkin patch and a petting zoo), a haunted house trip, and a concert featuring Kiana Ledé. All Hoptoberfest events are free for students and are sponsored by the HOP. Learn more and register in Hopkins Groups.
Then, as Halloween approaches, get ready for Boo Jay Tuesday! On October 29 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., bring your own bag and visit our trick-or-treat stations all around campus for candy, giveaways, raffle prizes and more. Costumes are encouraged (and may help you win exclusive prizes)! The list of locations is available on the event page.

A Brief History of Black and Queer Counterculture with Gender & Sexuality Resources
Join the Office of Gender & Sexuality Resources for a presentation on the history and evolution of Black Queer counterculture in the U.S., featuring speaker Theo James and presented in celebration of LGBTQ History Month and the Baltimore Blaq Pride. Utilities can be expensive, especially as we head into the winter months! If you live off campus and are interested in learning how to save money and energy this season, register for an upcoming workshop to learn tips and tricks to help lower your heating and cooling bills, presented by Off-Campus Housing.

Accessing health care after hours
Need help with a health issue at night or on the weekend? If you contact a Primary Care clinic after-hours by phone, you'll be transferred to a nurse advice line for evaluation and guidance on next steps. If needed, transportation to urgent care or hospitals is available through Public Safety; if your condition is less critical, you can access Blue Jay Night Ride. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, immediately call 911 or Public Safety at 410-516-4600 if you are on campus.
Students also have access to TimelyCare, an app that offers free 24/7 access to virtual care services. You can access on-demand care or schedule an appointment at a time that's convenient for you.

Hopkins Dining Farm Stand
Join Hopkins Dining to celebrate Campus Sustainability Month with a Farm Stand event on Wednesday, October 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Freshman Quad. The event will feature a farmers' market stand by Richfield Farm and a chef demo with recipe development chef, Dale Savel-Turek.
