PEEC Hosts FLY Friday Pop-Up on Community Standards and Homecoming |
This past week, PEEC (Peer Educator and Engagement Coordinators) held a FLY Friday Pop-Up featuring a Question of the Day focused on community standards and Homecoming. Students were encouraged to stop by, interact, and share their perspectives on what community standards mean to them, especially during the excitement of Homecoming weekend.

Responses highlighted themes of school pride, accountability, and building welcoming traditions that allow all students to celebrate safely and enjoyably. Many students expressed appreciation for being able to share their voices in a quick, interactive way. Check out all of the details and how PEEC will provide engagement opportunities for students in the future.

IUP Libraries isn’t just for studying—it’s also a space to pause and reflect. 📓Journaling for Self-Reflection at IUP’s Kathleen Jones White Writing Center |
Keeping a writing journal (a notebook in which you keep a running record of your writing journey) is a practical way to track your writing development over time. Use it to record your writing goals, reflect on feedback, and note strategies that work for you.
This habit of reflective note-taking promotes metacognition—thinking about your thinking—and helps you identify patterns in your writing process and grow as a writer. Writing tutors can guide you in using your journal to set intentions, monitor progress, and plan revisions effectively.
